Jim Handel
Jim is the founder and president of Pinnacle Supply Chain Solutions. As a high-energy, growth-oriented leader, he is a subject matter expert and thought leader in the Supply Chain field. Jim specializes in delivering hi-impact, long-lasting solutions that enable his clients to reach new heights. He architects true partnerships through connecting the right people in the right way, at the right time. Jim focuses on your most pressing issues, listening and collaborating with you and your team, to conceptualize, develop, and implement solutions that will help you disrupt your industry.
Jim overcomes complex supply chain problems, across matrixed Fortune 500 organizations, for the greater good of all stakeholders. He orchestrates supply chain strategies for elevating performance to record levels by bringing people together to solve complicated problems. Having served as the senior Supply Chain executive at various Fortune 500 companies, Jim has coached and advised hundreds of suppliers through significant global chaos over the past 15 years. This includes, but not limited to, the 2008 global financial crisis, the COVID pandemic of 2020, and the severely constrained electronic component supply market from 2017-2023.
Jim is recognized as a master negotiator and supplier relationship expert. He has the unique skill of becoming the customer of choice, across an extensive global network, that translates into remarkable profitable growth. Jim’s focus areas are Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), Organizational Development and Transformations, Global Supplier Relationship Management, International Sourcing, Strategic Planning and Execution, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Operational Excellence.
Jim’s rich experience was cultivated through his three-decade background at industry-leading enterprises like GE, Motorola, Honeywell, Ericsson, TE Connectivity, Harris Corporation, and L3Harris Technologies. He has held leadership positions in Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. Jim holds his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Manufacturing Systems, from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He is also a graduate of GE’s Manufacturing Management Program, the Center for Creative Leadership’s Leadership Development Program, and the Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Masters Class.
